Ways to Help Haiti

On January 12, 2010 at 4:53 p.m. a 7.0 magnitude earthquake hit just 10 miles west of Porte-au-Prince and its 2 million inhabitants. An estimated 3 million people in need of emergency aid after major earthquake. We would like to urge all of you to help, in whatever way you can, with the relief efforts in Haiti.

The following organizations are accepting SMS donations in the US only:

  • SMS text “HAITI” to 90999 to donate $10 to Red Cross relief efforts
  • SMS text “YELE” to 501501 to Donate $5 to Yele Haiti’s Earthquake Relief efforts
  • SMS text “GIVE10” to 20222 to donate $10 to Direct Relief

If you are in or around the Atlanta Area, there will be a bake sale at Criminal Records (in Little 5 Points) on Saturday, Jan. 30 12PM-4PM. All Proceeds from the sale will go toward the Medecins Sans Frontieres Haiti relief fund.
