Apple TV – Great Alternative to Overdone Cable

Apple TV – Great Alternative to Overdone Cable

Channel surfing one night this week we (yet again) got frustrated in finding anything good on to entertain us. The same lineup of stupid reality shows, endless talking head news shows, home fix up shows, etc.

I have an Apple TV hooked up to our TV that we usually use to watch our photo albums on TV and now rent movies. Sometimes we watch Podcasts on the weekends.

It suddenly popped into my head to check in on some of my video podcast subscriptions, Namely, the Bitchin’ Kitchen. However for some reason I didn’t have any new episodes so I decided to look at Apple’s “Podcast” directory on the AppleTV. There I http://www.blogger.com/img/gl.link.gifdiscovered a lot of little new video podcasts form major providers. But the best was T. A fan of the web site, I had no idea they were producing such slick and hilarious video podcasts. We spent the next 20 minutes watching great little skits.

It was breath of fresh air in the face of the endless cable television channel surfing.

Be sure to consider getting your own AppleTV. I think they are great and offer an awesome variety of major and “indie” entertainment options that you don’t get on nightly cable broadcasting.
