The Need.

The Cumberland Community Improvement District (CID) is Georgia’s first CID, a public-private assessment district in northwest Atlanta. It is the mechanism by which local commercial property owners advance needed public infrastructure projects. Projects that enhance property values as well as the aesthetic value of the greater community. Up until calling Going Interactive, their official website was visually dated, technically dated (was not “responsive”) and did not clearly communicate the vast level of improvements the CID had brought to the area through the past 10 years.

The Solution.

Through a process of discovery (interviews, analyses, research) Going Interactive determined the best information to present to the target audiences, the best way to present it (usability, information architecture, copy, visuals) and the best tool to use to do it (WordPress). The result is a new Cumberland Community Improvement District website that keeps visitors engaged and provides them a comprehensive collection of easy to digest – but fully detailed – community improvement projects.

The Results.

Upfront Information Architecture (IA) and User Experience (UX) work done on white board and then detailed out into B&W line art.

Each page carefully crafted with the right content, imagery and map friendly features.

The site is fully responsive to any device and includes parallax animations, updated news and an interactive area map.
