Forrester did a recent survey comparing the two groups. I found it very interesting (and true!). The short of the story is that Gen Yers (ages 18-28) are setting the pace for new technology and adoption. They spend more time online for leisure AND work rather than watching the “old” TV. While Gen Xers (ages 29-42) are traditionally using technology when it supports their lifestyle or intersect with their personal needs. They are saying that Gen Yers are really the first native online population. Wow!
So this is really interesting stuff mainly because it’s the group that YOU and US at Going Interactive will be marketing to more and more over the next (million years – ha ha). To see the charts and get more details check out the Survey on Marketing Charts.
Feel free to drop us a line if you’d like to take your communications to the next level.
